The Light before sunrise 2021 (Post- Production)

Short Film

Director: Charlotte James
Funding: Ffilm Cymru Beacons 2020 / 2021

Len and Bambi are hungry for freedom and searching for something – until one night, their eyes are opened to the dangerous possible consequences of their behaviour.

The dark themes of this film; exploitation, innocence, unwanted male attention created challenging scenes to coordinate. I worked closely with the director and was able to be involved in the rehearsal process which was hugely beneficial for blocking the movements and creating a comfortable space for the actors.

Clamped 2021

Short Film

Director: Amy Barnes

Production: University of Gloucestershire

After a sex- positive student encounters an awkward one-night stand, she must regain control in order to climax again.

Clamped contained two intimacy coordinated sex scene which were executed safely and effectively. Extra considerations had to be introduced as filming took place during the covid-19 lockdown, but safety and results were not compromised.

Clamped was a great production to intimacy coordinate on as the actors had never met before and the sex scenes were such a crucial part of the story it was so important to execute them in a professional but creative way.

The Days That Follow 2021

Short Film

Director: Alex Watson

Production: University of Gloucestershire

Teenager Zara Barnett had it all planned out - The Honeymoon, The Baby Names, and the Flavour of Wedding Cake. Having never experienced being out of a relationship before, she hadn’t prepared for what to do once she was dumped and the boredom, loss and loneliness in the days that followed.

The Days That Followed contained one intimate scene between Zara and Max. Like Clamped this was also filmed during Covid restrictions so the actors could not kiss, however their connection and intimacy was still portrayed accurately and creatively.

With a majority male crew my role on this film felt crucial. I made the actors feel comfortable and they both praised me for my work and my role in making the scene much more comfortable for everyone.
